Full Menu

A variety of flat breads will also be served.

First
Seared Scallop
with Cauliflower Puree, Ratatouille Vinaigrette & Truffle Oil
Tocai Fruilano 2006, San Simoni, The Friuli DOC Grave Area, Italy
Friuli-Venezia Giulia region is a prestigious label in the wine world. Its alluvial limestone-clay soils and a microclimate that guarantees a slow ripening of the grape and an evenly-paced harvest period make Grave a unique among the world's grape-growing regions. A Zesty/Aromatic Dry White. Pale-yellow coloured wine with greenish tinges. Fine, delicate, intense fragrance reminiscent of wild flowers, generous mellow flavour with a race of bitter almond.

Second
Braised Baby Artichoke
with Mizuna Lettuce, Purple Basil, Cherry Tomatoes, Shrimp and Fried Sardine
Cortese 2006, San Silvestro, Piedmont, Italy
Very fine Piedmontese white wine made from a painstaking vinification of the Cortese varietal grown in the area. This wine is a pale colour with green hints and an aroma of grapefruit and minerals. The palate is light-bodied, while this cortese is fresh, crisp showing citrus flavours and vitalising acidity.

Third
Paella
with Saffron, Chorizo, Little Neck Clams, Peas and Duck Egg
Heredad Mestral 2005, Priorat D.O., Spain
Carignan 60%, Grenache 30%, and Syrah 10%. Alcohol 14%. A complex red from the best part of Priorat. The scent is young, intense and very fruity, and taste very forceful resulting in a classic wine. The new wines from this winery are powerful and succulent, but with finesse and elegance. Ripe aromas and mineral hint of jam and spices. A wine with a dark cherry red color.

Fourth
Roasted Lamb Loin
with Israeli Cous Cous Salad, Cucumbers, Pomegranate Seeds, Mint, Manchego Cheese and Pomegranate Molasses
Chateau Pierrail 2005 Bordeaux Superior, Bordeaux Blend, France
Chateau Pierrail is renowned for its deep dark red colour, fine concentration and suppleness due the ripe Merlot. The aroma of back and red fruits including blackcurrants, blackberries, as well as prunes gives way to subtle toasted overtones of vanilla. Well balanced, long in the mouth this Bordeaux Superior offers a good potential to improve with age. Fruit forward with some nice tannic structure that will calm down as it sits.

Fifth
Seared Skate Wing
with Lemon Confit Supreme, Olives, Fresh Oregano and Unfiltered Olive Oil
Saisons de Beauchene 2005, Cotes du Rhone, France
Single Vineyard owned by Monsieur Peyrouse (same owner as for the Chateauneuf du Pape). A great blend of Grenache 70%, Syrah 10%, Carignan 10%, and Cinsuat 10%. A wine with floral nose with notes of spices and wild strawberries. Attractive black cherry and spicy, earthy notes, and loads of plumpness. This is a wine what we qualify an everyday drinking wine.

Sixth
Pate Brisse
Black Mission Figs and Goat Cheese Sorbet
Moscato d'Asti 2006, Tenuta Garetto, Piedmont, Italy
Literally an explosion of peachy and pineapple aromas and flavors with the tiniest of effervescence. A wonderful way to end an evening. A dessert in itself. 5.5% alc.
